After JIO, Reliance to start its Fibre-to-the-Home(FTTH) Broadband services

Reliance is already making other Telecom companies to run for their money after launching JIO – a 4G based mobile internet service. Before the official launch of the JIO company was giving free JIO SIM to selected handset users with every service free of charge whether its 4G data, call or SMS. Now the company has officially launched the JIO service from September 1 still all the services are free till December 31st.

 

Company is testing its 1Gbps FTTH broadband to be named as Reliance Jio GigaFiber in Mumbai and Pune and will be available in selected cities in India very soon. It will be interesting to see how other companies like BSNL, Airtel, MTNL tackle with this move from Reliance.

After the launching of JIO 4G, BSNL has already reduced the price of 3G mobile internet to 1099 for unlimited 30 days data and also introduced Rs. 249 unlimited broadband plan for the new BSNL subscribers.
